How to rent a GoBike?

Download our app for free from Google Play or App Store, register and activate an account with your
phone number. Once you have an active account, you would be able to locate and unlock a GoBike.

Do I have to wear a Helmet?

For safety purposes, We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet while riding on a bike.

How to find a GoBike near me?

When you open the app, it would show GoBikes around you.

How can I unlock a GoBike?

Using your smartphone, scan the QR code on the bike, select subscription type and unlock.

I cannot Unlock a GoBike, how do I resolve this:
  1. Check the internet connection on your phone, also ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth is
    switched on.
  2. The bike could be under maintenance, this notification usually shows up on the app.

If none of the above reasons is the case, kindly open your GoBike app, click on Report an Issue and
send a message containing the problem you encountered with the Bike’s ID number. The ID number
can be located on the Bike’s lock or you can Contact Us.

Where Can I ride my GoBike:

To avoid an accident, we strongly recommend that you ride with the flow of traffic, we recommend
that you ride in bike lanes when available.

How to End a Trip:

Properly park the bike, pull down the lock’s slider and click on Submit bike.

APP

How do I unlock a bike when it not responding and gets stuck in the unlock status?

Switch off and on your phone’s Bluetooth and Scan the QR code again to unlock the bike.

The Go Bike App is not responding.
  1. Restart your phone and try again, if you still encountering the problem.
  2. Check the version you are using and update to the latest version if necessary. If the problem
    persists.

Uninstall the app from your phone and reinstall app.

PARKING

Where should I Park or Return my GoBike?

The app shows geofenced designated areas that you can park the bike. Properly place the bike in the
dock, pull down the lock’s slider and click the Submit Bike button to end the trip and also pull down
the bike’s stander to enable the bike stand on its own. Please, do not park in private properties, on
the road and walkways.

How far can I ride my GoBike, Is there a boundary?

Yes, there is a boundary that shows on the map, and it means you can only ride within the geofenced
area set up in agreement with your university and/or community.

I forgot to lock my Bike, what should I do?

Please go back to where you parked the bike, slide down the locker to lock the bike and also submit
the bike on your app.

PAYMENT

How do I pay for my ride?

You can fund your rides via these options:

  1. Enter your debit card information into the GoBike app.
  2. Make a money deposit into your account’ wallet located in the app.
  3. Cash payment to our employees at the station.
  4. Bank transfer or Cash payment into Go Bike Account (Name: Go Bike Management, Account
    Number: 0798711153, Bank: Access Bank).
What should I do, the app says payment declined?

Kindly ensure you entered the correct information and your card’s expiration date is valid. If the
problem persists, kindly contact your bank for resolution.

REPORTING ISSUES

A GoBike is parked inappropriately i.e. parked on the road or a sidewalk, parked in a private property or left l on the ground, how do I report?

We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused. Please contact us or send an email to
support@gobikeinc.com to report this issue with the bike’s ID number which can be located on the
lock and the location of the incidence. Our team would immediately swing into action to resolve the
issue.
