Jenny Chan is the Chief Investment Officer of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and was the Senior Investment Officer for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. The endowment manages $2.2 billion. Prior to 2007, Jenny led the research effort covering hedge funds and funds of funds at Canterbury Consulting. Prior to that she was a VP of a quantitative focused fund of funds. Jenny began her career at Salomon Brothers Inc., followed by Deutsche Bank and later Moore Capital. She has over 22 years of experience in financial markets with over 18 in alternative investments.
Jenny earned a BS in Finance and Accounting from NYU and an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a focus on Sustainability. Jenny is a CAIA charter holder. She was recognized by CIO Magazine on their 2015 Forty Under Forty list, and in 2016 by Trusted Insight as one of their Top 30 Foundation Rising Stars and Top 30 Women Rising Stars in Institutional Investing. Jenny is a member of the Advisory Committee for the CAIA and a member of several sustainable/impact investing industry groups.
